because I have nothing of worth to say

Since I don’t have a scanner, I took a picture of an old picture of me for Facebook today. As I was looking through the rest of the album that my mother had so graciously labored over, I decided to share some with you.

xtina: the younger years.

Look how stinkin’ cute we are! That face that I’m making is a face that my dad thought would be fun to teach his very impressionable 8 month olds. We still make it today. At least I do.

I love these photos. I love that my mom decided to have the second one printed and that it says so much about our personalities. Bonus points if you can tell who’s who.

I love that one of my dad and us on his lap. And the other two were our “high society” 101 and 102 courses. Ponies and tea parties.

There’s that face again!

I love this one on the left. I’m not sure if I’m pulling her finger or if we’re trying to hold hands, but we’re clearly in toddler-bliss. Wearing Christmas sweaters, dressed up as butterflies, holding candy. The one on the right needs no explanation.

And finally, this is my sister and I with our best childhood friends. Another set of twins (boys) lived mere houses from us growing up. Notice how we all have the same haircut.

  1. Wow you two were cute babies!…. but then again, most babies are ;)

Oh, and my first guess was that you’re the one on the right and she’s on the left in the “Santa” picture. But then I looked at it again, and in the first pic I think the one on the left looks more like you and in the second the one on the right. So I have no clue.

  2. I think you’re on the right. I feel like that’s definately Jenn on the left in the second photo. The first is a bit more difficult but still.

I could be totally wrong though. How many guesses before you tell us?

    Love you!

  3. My dad wins!!!

And I’m on the left in both Santa photos. I’ve always had the rounder face, Jenn’s always had the leaner face. If you compare these with the “random fact #2” photo, it’s easier to tell.
