I wish!

I met a guy last week who lives in Tasmania. Being an anthropologist at heart, I grilled him; I wanted to know exactly what his culture was like.

Random facts I learned through my conversation:

• Tasmanians (all Australians for that matter) generally work 37.5 hours a week and receive 4 weeks of vacation
• The climate ranges from around freezing in the winter to about 80 degrees F in the summer
• If they can shorten a word, they will. Some examples: Tasi (the name of their island), brecksies (your morning meal), barbie (a doll barbecue)

The first two are enough for me. It sounds like the perfect place to live.
